I wrote and I will write!

Day 5/30: A series where I write a poem every single day for 30 days.

Words still struggle to describe my feelings

Hands too, shiver to write all that's in me

Words stop rhyming when my thoughts get deeper

A single line can't define my reflection, my vision

I need a whole page, an entire story, an entire book

My words don't need a million people to believe

They need ONLY TWO who read them with care

My poems—my echoes, my stories—imaginations

I write 'cause I feel whole, I feel seen to my soul

I wrote for myself, I still do it for my own

I wonder if those two, also stop resonating with my words

I still won't stop, I'll never exit this tiny world

To those who reflect, thank you for feeling me

Thank you for putting a drop of hope in my sea

Thank you for stopping by,

I wrote and I will write!

.

A/N: I can't thank enough to all those who have been a constant support and never leave my side no matter how much time passes. Thank you! May God bless you all, amin <3

"I wrote for myself, I still do it for my own" that's what it is all about!

I had to pause at this line, 'i feel seen to my soul'. I was already developing goosebumps before then. But this line stopped me. Now I must start again, I must relive this beautiful moment. You showed the importance of pushing the self to write even if nothing comes at first. We are the ones standing in our own way. I realised this many times before. Oh and yes, we must write for ourselves. Not just for how many eyes might read them. The thank yous at the end made me want to cry for you and give you a virtual hug. This is one of the most touching things I've read today. I missed you Maryam and I am sorry I haven't been around, there's so many of us on here and sometimes we get lost in the stack of stories, but here I am I tracked you down and found you. Please never stop writing. I know you wont by the words in this poem, but I had to say it again. This was a breath of fresh air, Maryam outstanding. I will always resonate and feel your writing 👌🏾👏🏾🤗❤️
