In your turmoil around you,
Swept away in darkness,
Anxiety head and overthinking,
Chained into the blackness,
When inside you feel trapped,
You have nowhere to go,
Hurt by the world,
So you’ve turned inward so,
When the world is full of fear,
Loneliness and despair,
And the cross that you’re bearing,
Is too much pain to bear,
Holding onto suffering,
Because you can’t see any light,
The world in blackness turning,
Focused on your plight,
Remember who you are,
And feel it all inside,
Open your heart and feel,
Don’t give in to your pride,
Once you do you’ll find,
A bit more contentment,
Each day a crack more,
Until there’s no resentment,
For what you had before,
As you will feel whole again,
Without keeping score,
You’ll know that there’s hope,
A brighter day is coming,
You will feel content and happy,
Instead of all the running,
But can I say this to you,
you ever feel pain again,
I will help you through,
And help to keep you sane,
So don’t give in to the darkness,
Come out the other side,
You amazing perfect being,
Now wear yourself with pride.
