In Conclusion

the final phase of letting go

A stone left unturned,

A bridge to be burned.

No longer the one who got away;

Am I in denial, or actually okay?

Now that I know the truth about you,

That you lead me on when you were feeling blue,

I've been released from this obsession.

Seen you in a new light, a new impression.

So I've let you go, for real this time.

I will no longer clamber and climb-

Seeking your love, praying for redemption.

I'm a free woman now, don't need your attention.

Oh what a saga, a journey it's been...

The lessons I've learned from the longing within.

Now I only long for me,

For peace, for growth, like the rings of a tree.
