In between the Shadows
The Sonnet of Shadows

They dwell in twilight, in between sunlight and shadow
There they waltz, where dusk and dawn entwine,
A silver thread divides the night from flame -
She moves in silence, veiled in dark design,
He burns with brilliance, fierce and free of name.
Their bodies arc like mirrored moons in flight,
One cloaked in black velvet, one in golden skin,
A dance of pulse and pause, of shade and light,
Where breath exhales, and endings dare begin.
She bends like time, soft and undefined,
He strikes like thunder, bold and sharp with grace.
Yet in their clash, a harmony becomes aligned
Two halves of truth within one sacred space.
So shadow loves the light it cannot keep,
And light returns to shadow when it sleeps.
β
Threshold's Veil
Day dissolves and night begins to breathe,
Silence unfurls beneath amber screens
Sky bleeds, a wound that neither sun nor dark
Can mend, yet both inhabit like a dream.
Light retreats in robes of molten gold,
Fingers brushing shadows into form;
Dusk ascends, in indigo grown bold,
A silent tide that neither chills nor warms.
Here stands the gate where opposites embrace:
Not in war, but with a soft, symbolic thread.
A liminal kiss, a dimly-lit sacred space,
Gods of dark and light entwine instead.
Twilight speaks in tongues of in-between,
A veil where truth and lies convene unseen.

This poem uses gorgeous imagery, and the rhyme scheme creates a rhythm that matches it perfectly. The image that you chose to go with the poem complements your words perfectly as well. Overall, great job. You could even turn this into an epic poem if you wanted to.
