LGBTQ.... and sometimes Y
Why?
Because sometimes there isn’t enough letters in the alphabet or colours in Roy.G Biv
To paint all the in betweens who don’t fit in and fall out of the binary box.
I am said such color
Born In Canada, a Jamaican, of a homeland at the time I have never been,
Threatened by political policy, I could be “sent back to”;
If I step outside the box and the line of the law I was involuntarily placed in.
In the box there’s a deck of cards filled with colours I’ve not yet played my hand in
Because there’s in-betweens in that box too, non-binary
beyond the obvious Kings and Queens where a “couple” no longer just simply means two.
Black and white are not colours, but the tints and shades of lines we fight in
Blurred when BLACK+WHITE = MIXED
