your name imprinted
on my lips
my heart conflicted
and transfixed
emotions fall
like drifting leaves
lovers recall
the promised things
and we hold on
season to season
when hope is gone
still we find reason
something to hold
something to last
when we are old
take when we pass
reminders we lived
held life’s rewards
till it disappears
like shrinking shores
the moon will rise
as will the tide
filling the sky
with northern lights
leaving its mark
across the blue
capturing hearts
from love struck fools
riding the storm
taming the wild
being reborn
true nature’s child
bearing its scars
upon our skin
like shooting stars
without an end

Beautifully done, both on the poem and the artwork, Kelli
Duly noted & imprinted, Kelli. Beautiful work.
As the song says Life Goes On.
Absolutely stunning. Nice performance.
A deeply honest and powerful love poem and on longing.
Well-wrought! It goes on and on, and after it goes on... it goes on some more...
Love is so cosmic indeed! Beautiful imagery here, Kelli.
