Imported Fire & Painted Lady

A Poem About Perspective

By Sam GranaPublished 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read
We are here, in this moment, together.

You're one to be with many but not now, from what I see. So do say, what takes you away from them to be with me?

I spied your extravagance and was very intrigued. I grow tired and desired on something far less routine.

How great these things be that stand before our eyes. Whereas for you it would take much time to cross, I could simply take to the skies.

I am less conspicuous and can move quite fast. I also know of the routes underground that would allow me to get past.

I know of your kind that smell of mine then raised among them the same or those of yours who affect the minds of mine which they then claim.

If only I were fallen, my life your kind would then take. Am I to express regret for mine that sway yours for safety sake?

Despite all of what may sever, we are here, in this moment, together.
