Grievance of the Crestfallen

An Elucidation

By Sam GranaPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
"Morning Star"

I was most favored; brightest and best.

To be casted down

Is something I detest.

My fall was tragic; my glory, undone.

But my vengeance is convincing

This world that I am your Son.

Through these means, I will become the only way.

To you, they'll not go,

And their faith in me will stay.

The instrument of my torture and death will be worn.

A gruesome gesture

With which they eagerly adorn.

The greatest of voices will sing praises to my name.

But choices aside,

They'll all worship me the same.

For my own sake or until such time,

I am redeemed,

And your deeds made a crime,

I will persist to further compromise

All of creation,

With the promise to rise.
