The stars don’t wanna be the moon

The moon don’t wanna be the sun

The grass don’t wanna be the trees

And the trees don’t wanna grow legs to run

The capitular doesn’t wanna be a dragon fly

Nor does the nymph wanna be a butterfly

Imagine if the sun wanted to be the moon

Or if the birds and bees didn’t know how to fly

If you ever find yourself wanting to be anything but you

Take a moment to find home inside of you

What if the sun wanted to be the moon?

What if God said I’ll rest instead?

What if the rain disagreed with the earth

And instead grew sickness and curse?

What if human beings left plastic things in the ocean

Consumed too much

Killed animals and each other for nothin’

Wouldn’t that be somethin’?

If you ever find yourself wanting to be any place but here

Take a closer look and make a better home of your atmosphere

Imagine if the sun wanted to be the moon?

Home is inside of you.
