ILLUMINATING LOVE

...

By Crystal AngelesPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
True Love Never Dies

Afraid of your face I’ve never met

A face I’ve searched for all my life

A face I tried to mold in others

Looking in all the wrong places

Realizing you were an ocean away

Walking alone in a large city.

Suddenly, I heard your voice

It was as if I had talked to you before

You gave me your number

The storm faded your presence

A lingering doubt crept into my heart

Doubt stemmed from my own mother’s womb

She never believed in love like this

My heart refuses to meet yours

Anxiety refuses to let you go

Katherine brought us together

I trembled, afraid to come out

Your face illuminates the rear view mirror

Beaming into my eyes, my soul

Your soul coated my body from head to toe

A golden glow hovered over your head

The sun shined through your smile

Fear trembles

Clouds don’t exist

Like a giant roman soldier

Hovering over my body

My face met your chest

An instant electric charge

Fear melts away with doubt

I look into your eyes

Your lips accidentally fell into mine

We are caught by surprised

You stare into my eyes

I grab your hand

We nervously giggle as we turn and look away

Walking down the path as our hands simultaneously swing

Time runs by

The sun turns into the moon before our eyes

Your existence illuminates my being

Pure love is embraced

Fear ceases to exist

Doubt was only an illusion

I do.
