If You Truly Love Someone

Please Do Not Abuse.

All of my life, my exes said they loved me,

But, instead;

All they did was abuse me,

It wasn't just my exes,

But friends and others too,

Even though they proclaimed,

Their love was true.

True love does not hurt,

We may disagree and argue,

Yes, we can still do that with love,

Love is not bruises, black eyes, or tears,

That leaves us sinking in the mud.

So;

If you truly love someone,

Show them empathy,

Caring,

Listen,

And true love,

Because black eyes and bruises are not a sign of love.

Abuse can be invisible too,

Words can leave worse scars;

In a friendship or a relationship,

If you truly love someone,

Please do not abuse,

Because love is not abuse.

    that's so true. Love can also be ignorance. Ignoring someone for the sake of another, also hurts. Many people ask, what is love. I can tell you what it isn't. It isn't hurt, physical, mental, or psychological.
