If You Don't Mind My Saying (For Black History)

Poem

By K.A. SmithPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

Saying
No human,
No animal,
Nor machine.
This month, should
Lean.

Exert

Exert

Saying
No to a shackling chain,
No scream in pain,
Nor calling the N name.
This month, should
Gain!

Exert

Exert

Saying
No hating,
No separating,
Nor water hosing.
This month, shouldn't
Be loathing.

Exert

Saying
No slavery,
No bravery,
Nor the lowest of degree.
This month, should
Be free.

If you don't mind my saying...
For Black History!
