If the Mountains were Pretty
I would want to stay.
If the children were happy
I would want to play.
If the Homes were homey,
I wouldn't want to leave;
If the valleys weren't lonely
There would be no need.
If the daylight lasted a little longer,
And if the sunset didn't arrive so soon
If only the midnight never darkened,
And didn't swallow up the moon.
If the winds weren't so windy
And tamed to a breeze.
If only the winter went swiftly,
And the flowers wouldn't freeze.
If only the Summer came quickly,
If only the Mountains were pretty.
About the Creator
MDW Warren
I fell in love with poetry at a very young age and I loved the ideas of personification and putting hidden meanings behind my writing, as well as just inventing fictional worlds and expressing whatever enters my imagination.
