"If Only I Had Awakened in Time"
Now I have everything—except her.

If only I had awakened in time,
When my heart first whispered to stop,
When her eyes hid the tears,
And her lips chose silence over words.
If only I had heard the noise
In the quiet of her soul,
If I had read the meaning
Behind the things she never said.
If only I had paused for a moment,
When her lashes trembled quietly,
When her breath felt faint and broken,
And I just stood there… watching.
If only I had kept my promises on time,
Spoken before regret could speak first.
If only I had reached out with warmth,
Measured my silence before it hurt.
Now I have everything—except her.
Now there is time—but not for her.
Now I know what time truly means,
But the lesson… came far too late.

This poem really hits home. It makes you think about all the missed opportunities in relationships. We often get so caught up in our own lives that we don't notice the subtle signs. I've been there, not paying enough attention. It makes you wonder how many other people are in the same boat, missing out on something precious because they're not fully present. What are your thoughts on this?
