If I was a butterfly

By Hannah CatesPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

If I was a butterfly, I wonder what colour my wings would be?

Would I be vivacious with every colour you could possibly dream?

Or would I be subtle,

A soft white or blue?

Would I stop the show simply with the way I could flutter into a room?

If I was a butterfly would I be rare? Or one of many scattered around flowers sucking on another’s liquid nectar.

One thing I know is If I was a butterfly I would beat my wings so gratefully every day,

Knowing that my freedom emerged from a dark crysalis to bring light and height to each of my days.
