*If I Could Turn Back Time*

If I could turn back time,
I'd cradle the moments lost,
Hold them close, like whispered dreams,
Before they scattered, like ghosts.

I'd mend the cracks that line my heart,
Stitch the frayed edges of my soul,
Undo the words that wounded deep,
Before silence took its toll.

I'd trace the steps I never took,
The paths I should have known,
Rewrite the chapters of regret,
Where seeds of sorrow have grown.

But time is a river, relentless, cold,
It carries all in its wake,
No hand can dam the rushing tide,
Nor change the course it takes.

So here I stand, in the present's light,
With shadows that cling and sway,
Wishing I could turn back time,
To chase the ghosts away.

But all I have are lessons learned,
Etched in the lines of my face,
A heart that beats with sorrow's song,
Yet still finds strength in grace.

If I could turn back time, I would,
But perhaps, it's better so,
For in the ache of what's been lost,
