If I Could Go Back
Reflections on missed moments and the wisdom they leave behind.

If I could go back to where it began,
To trace the steps of this wandering man,
I’d pause in the places I once passed by,
To savor the whispers of earth and sky.
I’d linger in moments I let slip away,
The soft golden hues of a fading day.
The laughter I lost, the touch I ignored,
The small, fleeting gifts that life once poured.
If I could go back, I’d rewrite the scenes,
Redraw the lines of forgotten dreams.
I’d cradle the words I left unsaid,
And offer them now to the living instead.
But time is a river, relentless and fast,
Flowing away with the echoes of past.
What’s left is this moment, fragile and true,
A chance to begin with a clearer view.
So, though I can’t walk those old roads anew,
I’ll honor their lessons in all that I do.
For life moves forward, but whispers remind,
The past is a teacher, not one to rewind.
