As the hands grab me

I scream in fear

The wind carries my sound away like a distant memory

Ever fading in time and space

The hands cover my mouth and pull me down

I have fought for far too long

My body heaves as I pull one last time

The hands lose no grip

I relax and allow them to encircle me

I am bound to the floor

No more resistance

I am done

The air around me gets thin as I breathe through sharp pains

The hands clawing at me

I feel the tightness in my chest

I blink rapidly as I feel the life leaving me

I smile as the pain ends

I take my last breath as I whisper one word

"Finally"
