I was there

Why go back

By Hot CocoaPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Credits to Mikko Lagerstedt for the picture.

When you were in an entire, endless darkness,

I was there, and I was the one who created your light.

When the torrid tales tormented your aching soul with the time forever endless

I was there, and I was the one to defy time and shut it from sight.

When the fervent fires around you never ended, boundless,

I was there and I extinguished the flames so you can keep on the fight.

When the swindling shepherd corralled you in the river of cattle, making you less,

I was there and I killed the conniving shepherd and re-taught you from left to right.

For all I’ve done for you, how have you become so dense?

So dense, so dense so dense your God forsaken head should exceed a ton!

By now, I’ve shown and shown you the troubles and yet you still leap the barbed fence.

And risk injuries, assuming I will guide you back such a father does to a son,

Yet you must also know the stimulation of pain and misdeed which leaves you tense

For I can return you to that entire, endless darkness which I know you cannot outrun
