I am

an Evolutionist.

In my next life

I want to be

a barn swallow

a percussionist

in the cerulean symphony

wings pounding wind

day into night

day into night

ROUND ONE

Between the Catholic

and the Karma Bum

She

called me

a Devil Worshipper

and I called her

an Alarmist

I was married once.

It was a home/work assignment.

A lesson.

A lab.

A study

- of sorts -

A series of experiments

weighing the comparable

viscosity

of vital

fluids

That of sweat

blood and saline

secretions

the principle export

of misty-eyed

mucosa.

I was married once.

It was a homework assignment.

A partnered lab.

We failed

miserably.
