I’m walking past the street lamp, the inspiration all but there,

The memory of the deepest kiss, the way you showed you care,

The fluctuation of your voice, to show your hearts choice,

I remember it so well, your eyes would surely tell,

I remember the moments spent with you, the times we’d surely try,

When you looked agasp, the way you would soon after sigh,

The anxiety flaring, the heart caring, the way you used to show,

Now we went our separate ways, now I want to know…

What was it that made you leave? How did you lose your fire?

The way you laughed and smiled, at your heart's desire?

So I ask here and now what you made you fall away?

When my heart still yearns for you, forevermore, to stay,

I remember the moments spent with you, the times we’d surely try,

When you looked agasp, the way you would soon after sigh,

The anxiety flaring, the heart caring, the way you used to show,

Now we went our separate ways, now I want to know...

I don’t understand why you left, or what caused your heart to tear,

Regardless of the storm, or the darkness and despair,

But I just want you to know, in front of the heavens above,

Your my dearest treasure, my best friend, my dearest love,
