I’ve Seen Too Much, I’ve Said Too Little
It’s knowing when to speak

I’ve Seen Too Much, I’ve Said Too Little
I’ve seen too much, I’ve said too little,
Held my tongue while my heart grew brittle.
Watched the world spin, fast and wild,
Swallowed words since I was a child.
Eyes full of stories, lips stay shut,
Memories pile, but I say “so what?”
Truth sits heavy, but silence is light,
Maybe I’ll speak—just not tonight.
The wind keeps asking, the stars still glow,
But where do the quiet ones let their words go?
Buried in pages, lost in the air,
Whispered in dreams to no one there.

This was so poignant and profound. Well done!
Keeping the words in is where all the best poetry and stories come from. Great work.
Beautifully done!
Exactly, but it works most of time for writing helps to let it out. Good job.
