I apologize for my lack of compassion.

I never visited you at the hospital.

Your health was never important to me.

Now that you're here.

I want to say sorry.

I'm aware of how kind and helpful you were to me.

You did me many favors.

You caught me in the act,

In the act of adultery.

Yet you gave me a second chance.

I attempted to kill myself.

But, you rescued me.

You gave me love and shelter.

However, I never expressed gratitude.

I've never been grateful.
