I should have been a lighthouse keeper
A Catena Rondo poem inspired by Mikeydred

I should have been a lighthouse keeper
With the solitary life I lead
Helping sailors to take heed
I should have been a lighthouse keeper
With the solitary life I lead
There would be no need to hurry
A simple life with little worry
With the solitary life I lead
ππππ
There would be no need to hurry
Just make sure the light is lit
So the rocks below, they do not hit
There would be no need to hurry
ππππ
Just make sure the light is lit
Rough seas I like, even at night
What a wonderful sight
Just make sure the light is lit
ππππ
I should have been a lighthouse keeper
With the solitary life I lead
Helping sailors to take heed
I should have been a lighthouse keeper
ππππ

Great use of the form and a wonderful poem, thank you for joining the challenge.
I love a lighthouse and I wonder sometimes about the solitary life of a lighthouse keeper and what it would be like.
Oooo, looks like you have executed this form of poetry so brilliantly! Loved your poem!
I loved this poem. I am not familiar with Catena Rondo poems. I certainly liked this one, though. It also made me want to be lighthouse keeper myself. :D Just a simpler life, sea view, seagulls all around, no one around, silence and peace. I should have been a lighthouse keeper. How can one get that job? :D
Such a peaceful and beautifully rhythmic piece.
