Ophelia My Orchid

Talking to my orchard as if it was you

Ophelia my orchard

What a beauty to behold

I could look at you forever

And it would never grow old.

πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ πŸ’—πŸ’— πŸ₯€πŸ₯€

I saw your bud unfurling

Petals formed like a maiden’s lips

You exposed your coloured heart to me

How I marvel at the shape of those lips.

πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ πŸ’—πŸ’— πŸ₯€πŸ₯€

Each petal should remind you

Of the whispers from my heart

I touch you in a magic moment

That says we will never be apart.

πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ πŸ’—πŸ’— πŸ₯€πŸ₯€

I will enjoy your beauty

For as sure as there is a new day

This passionate exchange

Will one day fade away

πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ πŸ’—πŸ’— πŸ₯€πŸ₯€

Ophelia my orchard

I am speechless

What more can I say?

Your form will always impress.

πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ πŸ’—πŸ’— πŸ₯€πŸ₯€

[ Author’s note: My orchard has just started to flower. I am always in awe of the beauty and complexity of the flowers. On this occasion, I let my mind wander and let it symbolise the feeling of love.]

Till next time,

Calvin.

πŸͺ·πŸ€I've got a dirty mind and this photo of your flowering Ophelia, has exposed me. But if you look at her again. You are going to see exactly what I saw, so don't look. Don't say I didn't warn you. πŸͺ·πŸ€Unless you already knew. The first quatrain made me wonder what Ophelia would be thinking β€” loved by another who cares for her. That even when she grows old, she will still be a beauty to behold. πŸͺ·πŸ€A maidens lips for the petal. Oh that was a glorious match made in flower land. Coloured heart πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ πŸͺ·πŸ€Allowing us to view our petals before feeling your touch. Oh my, was that effective. πŸͺ·πŸ€'Will one day fade away...' time will be ticking. Bringing us back to reality. But foreshadowing the nearing end of this poem. πŸͺ·πŸ€Then bringing us back into the vibe of the poem, in the last quatrain β€” you left us again. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
