I SEE YOU NOW, IT’S WE.

Sometimes even in a long relationship you get to see each other for the very first time

By Shante Walker Published 5 years ago 1 min read
Love is the true war between us

I wanted to love you

I wanted to give you every part of me

I wanted to breath the air your lungs have touched

I wanted to be where you’ve been

I wanted to stroll down the lanes you’ve walked

I wanted to live though you

But living life without you

I’m not ready for that

I’m not ready for the fights that would draw us apart

I’m not ready just yet to sang a tune alone

I’m not ready to sleep holding myself

I’m not ready to dine by myself

I’m not ready to watch our favorite show with my own two eyes

I’m just not ready

See with you my life has meaning

See with you my world has purpose

See with you I strive

See with you everyday is a blessing

You never seen me as bad

You never seen me for my flaws

You never seen the failure in me

You pushed me to be great

You made me want to do better

You opened doors for me that I never sought to open for myself

Now let me return the favor

Now let me build you up from where you have fallen

Now let me get you back on track

Now let me open doors for you

Now let me dismiss your flaws

Now let me show you that your not alone

It’s us who bind the rule of this world together

It’s us who change together

It’s us who strive for more

It’s us

We are more beautiful than the sun and the moo together

We are not two but one

We feel each other’s pain and carry it as our own

We last through storms yet plan for the wether

We are who we are and yet love each other stronger then no other

I see you now, it’s we

love poems
