I searched for Love
I rummaged
Through the streets
Homes
Churches
I tried to find it
Underneath the
War-torn debris
Beneath the sheets
of the Orphan
Below the tears that fell from the
Elderly.
I delved, deep, desperate
Enquiring among friends, couples, families
Seeking the lonely abandoned, neglected
I probed them
In my distress
In my anguish
To help me find Love.
Their heads shuddered
From side to side.
Their eyes lowered, unknowing.
Their lips sealed, airtight.
Their sigh heavily indifferent.
Frantic…
I ran amongst the crowds
Examined their faces
“Have you seen love?
Do you know love?
Can you help me find, Love?”
Frozen, they stared
Solid, they stood
Firm, they turned away.
Suddenly,
Truth came
Running towards me
Caressed my hand
Looked into my eyes.
Compassion patted my hair
Trust helped me to stop, to listen
As Love looked
Up at Me...
Rising.
Love
Provided me with
Assurance
Confidence
Peace
Security
To know…
You will find Love
Where you find
Unconditional...
You will find
Unconditional
Where you find
Unrestricted
You will find
Unrestricted...
Where you find
Unlimited
You will find
Unlimited....
Where you find
Unqualified...
You will find
Unqualified
Where you find
Undeserved...
You will find undeserved
Where you find
Abundance....
There in abundance
You will be acquainted
With infinite
Infinite will introduce
You to Absolute
Absolute will show you
Love is
Love does
Love waits
For
You.
