I Recognized

I bloomed in sunlight, fed by spring,

But I heard your footsteps echoing.

You came like thunder, quiet and low

And somehow, my roots chose to grow.

They call me shadow, they fear my name,

But I saw a fire behind your flame.

You weren't made for empty skies

You carry storms inside your eyes.

They said you stole me from the light,

But I walked into your endless night.

I was more than petals on a throne

I found my power carved in stone.

This isn't love like stories tell

This is where angels come to dwell.

We don't break, we burn, we bind

Two forces never meant to find...

I was crowned in the dark,

Where no light dared to spark.

He took my hand, and I took the flame

Now they'll never speak my name the same.

I am the Queen, he is the gate

Together we bend the hands of fate.

I didn't steal I recognized.

You weren't the lamb, you were the knife.

They see you soft, I see you fire,

And all I want is to rise higher... with you.

You never asked, but you saw me whole,

Not as a girl - but as a soul.

And in your silence, cold and wide,

I heard my own dark heart reply.

Not stolen.

Not broken.

Chosen.

Reborn.

Not love... ...something more.

I was crowned in the dark,

Where endings tear the world apart.

He gave me roots beneath the dead

And I gave life where none had bled.

Not heaven, not earth,

not pain, not peace

We are the hunger that never ceased.

And I do not miss the light
