Comfort their hearts with the flame of a candle bright,
hold them fast and take away their anxieties’ rights.
Summon their hearts to surrender,
call them by name, like a tiny bird, tender.
Surround them with angels that sing,
peace that transcends and joy you bring.
All the physical things in life may fade,
but one day, may they look back to see how you stayed,
close by their sides,
through the world’s mocking chides.
Open their eyes to see the supernatural,
rather than dead ends that seem natural.
You make a way in the desert,
away from hopelessness, their eyes avert.
Touch their bodies, minds and souls,
because time is ticking and takes a quick toll.

that's so true. two months after my friend's husband died, a man we know asked her for a date. she hesitated. I told her, "don't be a fool". life is for the living. go out, have fun. live! she did and she is. your story is such good advice.
Now I am crying more; hope in a hopeless world... Thanks again for your kind soul leaping out from the Vocal vermin.
