I plead for sleep
Alone

Despair grips: help me!
Alone on my balcony.
Dawn! Fear extinguished!

You captured the blue hour so beautifully. I hope that you are safe and well rested now.
I thought this may be about a person contemplating suicide by jumping to their death. Most comments seem to think it is about insomnia.. which makes sense. Either way, it is nicely done and touches on important things. Great work.
I can relate. You want to sleep but can't, the dawn light finally came before you can fall asleep
Your writing is always a fountain of goodness, a fountain of talent and of great pleasure to read. What a lovely picture you’ve taken also, I loved the angle. Those words in bold was a nice touch, and I loved the rise and fall of the feeling outlined in your haiku. Very well written. I am still moved by your story To Speak Freely, I included it in my list under the Raise Your Voice Thread.
Yes insomnia is the worse! I like how you photo is POV looking out Pauline, mirroring your sky-ku! 😊 👍 💤
So poignant yet so beautiful. I loved both your Haiku and photo. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
Pauline, I can always feel the raw emotion in your pieces, including this one, and as a reader, I think your work is wonderful!
Nicely done, Pauline. Insomnia sucks.
