The earth bloomed under
the tender touch of rainfall,
gentle, loving hands.
//
But earth spurned her love,
copious, and in return,
she fell with more zeal.
//
And it was too much.
Earth choked on her storms of love,
so, jilted, she left.
//
The parched earth shriveled,
begged for her return, vowed to
love her. Rain fell fresh.
