I Once Dared

Depression Poetry

By Richard BaileyPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I once dared to feel again

I once dared to try and see

I once dared to hope

I once dared to believe

I made a mistake

Never again to be repeated

Too much time has passed

Already have I accepted

That which will one day come

No longer is there any fear

Not once will I cry a single tear

There is nothing for me in life

I destroy everything I touch

I hurt everyone I know

No matter how hard I try

There is no escape

I ask only this

Remember my smile

Remember my laughter

Remember my caring touch

But please, I beg of you this

Do not remember me

Of that there is nothing to miss

sad poetry
