I miss writing

The act of creating something out of words

Mixing ideas, characters, and language together

Like flour, eggs, and sugar

Adding whatever is needed to make a confection

Sweet to the lips

I once thought I would be a professional writer

But I lack discipline and confidence

Reading is one of my greatest pleasures

Writing takes work

My life is fleeting by

55 this year

Two grandchildren, two jobs

No time to waste

I miss writing

So here I am in my free time

Making a poem that may never be read simply because

Because I love to write

Taking

For FunFree Verseinspirational
