primordial waters carrying songs /
keening voices burning in the sand /
joyous laughter dancing in the flames /
steady war cries pouring from stone /

sinking into the sweet sage vine /
a time and place unburdened /
if only for this particular juncture of respite /
eight directions from center and back again /
the spirits gather to converse fulfill sustain /
unrelenting journeys into liberation’s dawn /
