I’m still here

An ode to survival

I’ve endured an awful lot of pain, but I’m still here.

Got caught in the rain, went insane, but I’m still here.

Watched my world shake and felt the quakes, but I’m still here.

Abandoned in a land of snakes, but I’m still here.

Felt the effects of the enemy’s lies, but I’m still here.

My mom died, oh how I cried, but I’m still here.

The fires burned and I got lit up, but I’m still here.

They told me stay down and don’t get up, but I’m still here.

As you can see things got real here.

Yet I found out I was the real deal here.

And if they ever try to make me feel fear here.

I’ll tell em’ I ain’t goin nowhere and I’m still here.
