I'm So Tired

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

I'm so tired of the hatred

From the people who would have cheered Jesus's death

I'm sick of the joy and vindication

I see in their faces as they mock everything God has taught us

Taking glee in destroying lives, and destroying families,

And breaking children

When lies become truth

And cruelty becomes justice

And the leaders do nothing except embrace their hate even tighter

Or fearing more for their status and money

And self-assigned self importance

Than doing the right and godly thing

I'm so tired of the hatred

From the people who would have cheered Jesus's death

I'm tired of the cowards and fools

Who pick on the weak and helpless

There will be a reckoning

There will be a reckoning

I'm so tired of the hatred

From the people who would have cheered Jesus's death
