“I’m okay” she says as she stares into the eyes that use to make her feel save.
“I’m doing good” she says as she lays in her bed letting tears flow down her cheeks like waterfalls.
“I miss you” the words she holds back to the point where she’s choking on her own voice.
She is not okay, she is not doing good, she is in pain.
She is in pain due to the coldness that has built where her heart use to be. She feels numb.
Not the numb that comes when you lay on your arm and cut off the blood flow.
No the numb that makes you want to try and find something to do, use, or drink just so you can feel alive.
The numb that makes you cry yourself to sleep knowing that this pain won’t go away.
She refuses to eat. She rather stay at home and watch sad movies and compare them to her life.
But give it time.
She will once again feel pure like a full bloomed flower. She will no longer cry herself to sleep but will laugh and sleep with a smile.
Give her time.
She will be happy once again.
