I'm nothing without hue.

My lady of color

By Sydney SwanPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I wake up to red, but you show me carnelian instead.

The day is spent in blue, but it feels like cyan with you.

We are often surrounded by fields of green, so pure, but you show me chartreuse as if it were so obscure.

Towards the evening, purple arises, but you show me violet.

When the world seems blurry, you make it pretty clear that I have absolutely nothing to fear.

And when I go to sleep, you allow me to dream in colors so bright, you make it hard for me to say 'Goodnight'.

You illuminate my pride, and you are always by my side.

As two ladies lie, the wavelengths reflect-other opinions have no effect.

A day without you my dear, is true darkness because I am absolutely nothing without hue.
