I’m learning to love the stranger in the mirror.
I watch every movement in awe.
I started to love that girl I once frowned at,
When her true reflection I saw.
.
She laughs like it pains her to do so.
She cries like she knows there’s still hope.
I wonder, where do these portraits go
Once spent in the glass, beauty’s scope.
.
I’ll admire that lady trapped in wonderland.
Adore each tear and smile I view.
And when that woman reflects my gaze,
She’s starting to love me too.
