Dragonfruit and bleating lambs crying for their mother
Sorry I can't make a mark in your stratosphere
I'm more than sheltered, yes, more than a bit shattered
Realer than real the cards shuffle
There is a host of meaning in location
Everyone is out for money and isn't it all a bit funny that what's behind the numerals keeps the same doors closed
There are too many meanings in the doldrums
The script makes me choke
The witching hour was designed from the start to make things go backward, stilling the clock
How am I supposed to change that with so many butterflies coasting on dollar bills I can't reach
...and I've seen your face a thousand times before
the face of an angel
and I don't want to close the door
but if you didn't get it the last 999 times what would I know

There's deep beauty and mystery in these words that fall on me like some kind of enchantment. "Dragonfruit and bleating lambs..."
Thought-provoking and powerful! 🌸
There's a quiet storm in this. It's like thinking too hard at midnight. It slips between emotion and observation in a way that feels deeply personal.
but if you didn't get it the last 999 times what would I know beautiful ?????
Well written, congrats
