Roses are red and violets are blue.
It might be cliche, but I think that it's true.
I fell in love the moment I saw you.
You had your nose in a book, as a smile danced on your lips.
But this book had a sacred place among my favorite scripts
You gave a light chuckle as you read the character's quips.
It's like you knew you would be seen,
with the expression on your face so serene.
Your eyes met mine and it felt like a scene.
You know, like from one of those shows.
"I love that book," I said with a mutter.
"It-it's one of my favorites," he replied with a stutter.
His warm eyes sent my stomach aflutter.
Looking back now, I knew that was the start,
of the endless years, I would give you my heart,
and all those times I'd long for you when we were apart.
Roses are red and violets are blue,
I didn't have the slightest clue,
of how fast I could fall, until I saw you.
