I Love You

Even Though I Can't Be With You.

I love you in strength, spirit, fire, light, and soul,

Even though you're not here,

I will love you as I live, die, and grow old,

I still shed tears,

In grief, love, joy, and pain,

The years we spent together were never in vain,

I remember our laughter,

It echoed throughout the whole town,

The songs we sang out loud,

The giggling in the street,

I miss the fun we had on a good

night out.

When I wake up in the morning,

Whether the world is sunny,

Or,

Dark nd gloomy;

I look for you in the clouds,

And,

I say,

"I love you, even though I can't be with you."

Written with a love that never dies for my best girlfriend in heaven. This girlfriend stood by me through years of trauma, joy, and pain. She never left my side, even when trauma took me away from her for many years.
