I Love Her To Death

The Honeymoon’s Over

By Earl W. PearlPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

My friends and family all could see

You weren’t the perfect bride for me

I never guessed that day we met

That I would suffer such regret

Each day since you became my bride

I’ve died a little more inside

You criticise most things I do

And even my Chihuahua too

You only tell me things you hate

I knew that we were tempting fate

Your criticism knows no bounds

My every move seems out of bounds

It started on our honeymoon

Things happen quick, but that was soon

It wasn’t long all hope was lost

I wanted out despite the cost

You drum up drama like a pro

The crap you spew make orchards grow

There’s no more future left for us

So I’ll move on before I cuss

Despite the fallout, come what may

I won’t be criticised this way

Your jerk response was no surprise

You said I misspelled “criticize”

humor
