$ermon On The Amount
Sinister Minister

For just one day who could I be
What mischief could I do
But this implies somebody’s me
Well, THIS is something new
I think I’d be that preacher man
With mansions and a jet
This just may be a perfect plan
He ain’t seen nothing yet
I’d sell the stuff that he acquired
With other people’s dough
Give back to God what God required
Before he stooped so low
I’d sign a contract with the church
To earn a wage that’s fair
Give back to those left in a lurch
Now living in despair
Since now he’s me, he’ll get to see
The damage that he wrought
How some were doomed financially
Through sermons that he taught
He taught, “Your money helps you win”
Too many times to count
Those sermons were to reel us in
To give, in some amount
Tomorrow he will wake in shock
He’s neither rich or poor
He talked the talk, now walks the walk
Just minus the grandeur
From here on out it’s sink or swim
At midnight we’ll change back
I’m me again and he’ll be him
Yet still, he doesn’t lack
About the Creator
