I Love Everything About The Spring
The singing birds new leaf son trees and the sunshine

I Love Everything About The Spring
I love everything about the spring,
the way the world exhales.
After months of holding its breath,
under winter’s veil.
Light lingers longer each evening,
softening tired streets.
Hope returns quietly,
under our feet.
Trees remember how to bloom,
without needing permission.
Colour reclaims its place,
with quiet determination.
People walk a little slower,
faces lifted toward the sun.
As if remembering happiness,
is something easily done.
Windows open to fresh air,
curtains dance and sway.
The world feels slightly kinder,
in an unspoken way.
Spring forgives the damage,
done by colder days.
Offering renewal freely,
without asking to be praised.
It reminds us beginnings happen,
even after the worst ends.
Life continues regardless,
again and again.
I love everything about the spring,
because it lets me believe.
That no matter how long the winter,
we always learn to breathe.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
