“I only drink Champagne on two occasions, when I am in love and when I am not.” — Coco Chanel

***

Moët & Chandon and Dom Perignon,

Laurent-Perrier and Krug,

an effervescence glug.

Ostentatious, opulence

A drink of status

Royalty,

Nobility,

Imperiality.

Lavish, luxury

A rich lush,

Posh

Prince

Plush.

Le Vin du Diable

Bubbles and fizz,

Champers,

Froth and foam.

Each, the biz

Fancy Flute,

Iconic Coupe,

Albeit,

A Tulip.

These will dig it

Shimmering, Sparkling,

Radiance,

and

clear clarity.

Hooray,

Here’s to you,

Cin Cin,

Bottoms Up.

A surge of warmth,

A rush of blood,

Liquid gold,

Taste buds flood.

Elegant purrs, delightfully giggly

I’m feeling, lightheaded and tipsy

Vintage love,

Smooth,

Golden,

Velvety glove.

Contentment, transcendent,

bliss.

Sparking, Champagne kiss

The most expensive bottle of Champagne costs $2.07 million. This cost is mostly due to the logo, which has been handcrafted from 18-carat gold and embellished with a 19-carat white diamond.

A standard bottle of Champagne contains 49 million bubbles.

Winston Churchill had Champagne every day at 11 am.

Marylin Monroe took a Champagne bath of 350 bottles of fizz.

The soil of the Champagne region contains prehistoric sea microorganisms.
