One day, I'll shut my eyes.

Not just because I want to.

But I'll be gone.

I will be dead.

My loved ones will cry.

My children will drop down.

They will feel like their world has ended.

They'll be looking for signs that I'm alive.

Wishing to see me talking.

However, none of their wishes will come true.

They will have to accept the fact that I'm dead.

I won't be with them again.

Very introspective, Gloria. You have reflected the fear of death well.

Gloria, The themes of absence and longing are beautifully articulated, drawing the reader into an intimate space of reflection. Your imagery and emotions create a powerful sense of nostalgia that lingers long after reading.
