I live with a man

P.T.S.D.

By Teresa TurnerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I live with a man who is broken

I live with a man who is lost

I live with a man who is broken

I live with a man who gets cross

I live with a man who is broken

Whose blue skies to him mostly feel grey

I live with a man who is broken

Some of his memories he tries to delay

I live with a man who is broken

For the most part he’s loving and kind

I live with a man who is broken

But when black dog visits he’s not there to find

I live with a man who is broken

His love for me I know is true

I live with a man who is broken

My heart breaks for him when he’s blue

I live with a man who is broken

He’s seen things that he can’t ignore

I live with a man who is broken

These things make him reach for the door

I live with a man who is broken

His temper can sometimes overwhelm

I live with a man who is broken

Like no one is steering the helm

I live with a man who is broken

A man who I love and adore

I live with a man who is broken

I choose to fight on and fight for

I live with man who is broken

A man who has fought in war

I live with a man who is broken

Many times he’s curled up on the floor

I live with a man who is broken

We all live with his PTSD

I live with a man who is broken

As broken as he still can be

I live with a man who is broken

And no matter how often he will hide

I live with a man who is broken

I will walk beside always, I am his bride.
