I have friends who are gay

They kept to themselves that way

They don’t say or give it away

I asked if they’re ok

They say ok like it’s the same

They’re so afraid

Afraid that they’ll get judge

All they need is a nudge

I look at them

I wanted to say

But I was too afraid to offend my friends

I have friends that are gay

I say "it's ok"

Because I accept them being that way

They are gay

I say yay

I am game

They are my friends

I love them

They are who they are
