I HATED THAT

The things I never got to say

By OUT OF PLACE Published 4 years ago 1 min read
Sketched by Serenity & I

You were the soft smog that seeped into my heart

A gentle breeze that carried the winter in each breath

I hated that.

How refreshing, yet deadly you could be

How my body was constantly seeking warmth

I hated that.

Can you remember the first crack?

The piercing sound of inevitability

The bottled up go that we refused to let go

I hated that.

Did you watch my bones bend?

Fracture itself into puzzle pieces

Embedded itself to make you feel whole

I hated that.

Do you still consume more than what is given

Are you still not satisfied

Was she worth the hunger?
